Privateer Press, Inc. and World Event Productions, Ltd. are proud to announce an agreement giving Privateer Press rights to license the widely popular Voltron Defender of the Universe for Privateer’s hit collectible miniatures game Monsterpocalypse. The new set is expected to release in early 2010 and will feature iconic characters from the classic Voltron animated series.

The first series of Wings of War WW2 miniatures will arrive soon, including famous planes such as the Supermarine Spitfire, Messerschimidt Bf 109, Grumman F4 and Mitsubishi A6M2 Reisen “Zero”, each one in three different painting schemes.

The 12 new planes are three Supermarine Spitfire of the british Royal Air Force – il Mk.I, used by the squadron leader Eric Clive Le Mesurier, and two MK.II, by Adolphe Vybral and Jan Falkowski; three Messerchimidt Bf10e, used by the German pilots Werner Mölders, Wilhelm Balthasar and Adolf Galland; the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 – piloted by Tadashi Kaneko, Saburo Sakai and Saburo Shindo; and the Grunmann F4F-3 from United States used by Robert Edward Galer, Alan F. Black and Hamilton McWorther.

Science Fiction and hobby game enthusiasts will converge on Indianapolis through at least 2015. Gen Con has signed a five-year extension with the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association (ICVA) for 2011-2015. The ICVA says the convention generates an annual attendance of more than 28,000 with estimated visitor spending at $26.9 million. This year’s Gen Con convention takes place August 13-16 and will occupy the Indiana Convention Center and meeting space throughout downtown hotels.

Dates for the future Gen Cons are: Aug. 5-8, 2010; Aug. 4-7, 2011, Aug. 16-19, 2012, Aug. 15-18, 2013, Aug. 14-17, 2014 and July 30 – Aug. 2, 2015.
